Last Word: Hit or diss? Marianne Brooker, 15, Thurrock, on the hotissues of the month

1 min read
GORDON BROWN? Theyworkforyou.com, which is the most accessible website to gain this sort of information, said he has only taken part in 18 per cent of votes in Parliament. He voted "very strongly" in favour of the Iraq war and yet only "moderately" for investigating it and he didn't vote on equal gay rights. Based on this it's a DISS, I'm afraid.

REALITY TV? Apparently it's boring but, alas, I've no telly! Big Brother has no links to us here on earth, so that's another DISS.

SCHOOL HOLS? I think they're great. I can hop on a train to London for a quid depending on who I'm with and I enjoy walking around aimlessly with friends and my camera. I also get involved with young adviser stuff. For young people living in rural areas, it could be different and they might get bored. But for me it's a gorgeously sunny HIT.

EMO? Clothes-wise the "look" is a way of people not conforming and being more bold and colourful. For me, this is great and a HIT. But some people take it too far and think it's a whole lifestyle choice.
