Last Word: Hit or diss? Callum Birks, 18, Edinburgh, on the hotissues of the month

CHEAP CLOTHES? They won't break the bank, they're fashionable and are good value. What more could you want? The sooner we get a Primark in Edinburgh the better, although I appreciate that some of the firms need to improve the pay and conditions of their workers abroad. But for me cheap clothes are surefire HIT.

THE NATIONAL PRESS? If you believe what the papers say you'll know young people are the root of all evil. At Youngedinburgh we want to change that and have launched our Young People Matter campaign, focusing on the positive contributions young people make to our city. But until it changes, the press gets a DISS for the way it portrays young people.

AMY WINEHOUSE? Her family and those close to her seem genuinely worried about her health. I just wish the media would leave her alone to deal with her problems in privacy. Until she realises she needs help and listens to the people she cares about I'm afraid that it's a DISS.
