1 min read Youth Justice
Spelthorne and Woking's youth councils have given presentations about knife crime in all secondary schools in the area.

Project: Knives Wreck Lives campaign in Spelthorne and Woking, Surrey
Funding: £10,000, from the Youth Opportunity Fund and the Safer
Woking Partnership
Aim: To deter young people from knife crime

A series of anti-knife crime campaigns run by young people will take place in the UK in February. The government is keen to see many more campaigns and had made £4.5m available for community and youth groups to help them tackle gun, gang and knife crime through the Community Fund (see Funding Watch, p25).

A number of similar local campaigns are already in place, and among those to inspire this latest push is the Knives Wreck Lives campaign, the brainchild of Spelthorne and Woking's youth councils.
