Children in Tower Hamlets were among the young people who took advantage of Kids Swim Free, a scheme that allowed under-16s living in five of London's most deprived boroughs to swim free of charge during the Easter break (News, 24-31 March). The Greater London Authority is evaluating the extent of the take-up of the scheme and a report is due out next month. The authority is looking at funding possibilities and will consider whether to extend the scheme to all London boroughs and all holidays.
