Connexions personal advisers, education welfare officers, learning mentors and youth workers came together at four events in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds last month to discuss the obstacles to their joint working and how they could be overcome.
The events were organised by the National Association of Connexions Partners, with funding from the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC). Association executive director Carolyn Caldwell is now compiling a report for the CWDC, with recommendations for improving integrated working practice across the professions.
Caldwell said: "The conferences were successful in enabling people to have these initial conversations."
