In the News: Toddlers' naughty behaviour goes viral on YouTube. But was it staged by mum?

2 mins read

Two troublesome toddlers have become internet stars after their naughty antics went viral on YouTube, reported the Daily Mirror.

A video of the two brothers destroying their living room with a bag of flour has racked up hundreds of thousands of hits. "Their exasperated mum can be heard muttering ‘Oh my gosh’ over and over as she surveys the damage while capturing the whole thing on camera," reported the Mirror. "The powder-coated children, however, are oblivious to the chaos they have caused, sliding around in their mess and wearing the empty flour bag as a hat." But is the hilarious clip all it seems?

Debate is raging over whether the scene was "staged" by mum, with viewers flocking to spot flaws in the "set-up". "Some say the flour is too evenly distributed to be the handiwork of toddlers," said the Mirror. "One critic claims the mother is a ‘terrible actress’ as her reaction seems unnaturally calm for such a calamity." Canny parents can earn thousands from funny family films by partnering with YouTube and sharing the revenue from ads.
