If David Cameron wants his coalition government to be a success then he should listen to suggestions from schoolchildren surveyed by The Guardian.

"I heard on the news that private schools get much better results than state schools," said Sabiya Shrestha, 12. "I don't think that's fair, so my suggestion to the new prime minister would be for the different types of schools to swap teachers every now and then so all students have the same chances to succeed."

Meanwhile, Ben Winder, 11, was keen not to be another Neet (not in education, employment or training) statistic. "We need job days at 10 so even when we are young we can start thinking of what we want to be when we're older," he told the paper, though we're not sure how popular that one will be among his peers.
