In the News: Emergency services called on to deal with teenagers loitering around... in swings

Playgrounds are a traditional hang-out for teenagers. But they can be fraught with danger and the risk of a fate worse than death – losing your street cred.

The Worcester News reported on a series of embarrassing mishaps involving young people getting trapped in the baby swings in August. No fewer than three young people have suffered the totally uncool fate of getting stuck in swings and having to be rescued by the emergency services in separate incidents. "Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are now warning teens to think twice before getting into children's swings," said the paper.

In one case, a 16-year-old got trapped in a swing and firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to release the unfortunate victims.
