The Every Disabled Child Matters campaign is urging children's professionals to get their local primary care trusts to sign up to a charter and commit to prioritising health services for disabled children and young people. www.edcm.org.uk
A group of authors, academics and childcare experts, including Toxic Childhood author Sue Palmer, has warned that the new Early Years Foundation Stage will make children anxious and dull their enthusiasm for learning. They also argued the curriculum, due in September 2008, has been introduced by stealth.
