Aaliyah Harry, aged two, was one of the many children who enjoyed a fun day following the official opening of Granby Children's Centre in Liverpool last month. The event included face-painting and arts and crafts. At the launch the previous day, a group of young drummers declared the centre open. The 1.4m centre is attached to Kingsley Community School and managed by the head and governors. It includes childcare for 50 under-fives.
