In Practice: Ask the experts

Where can we hold our new library club?

Library clubs don't always have to be held in a library. You could use a library as a base and hold sessions in a range of locations, such as community centres, play spaces or at a local business.

To maintain interest, consider using different locations. You will need plenty of comfortable seating, in an informal layout if possible. There may not be a public library facility close to your school. However, every local authority will have a lead person who works for the museums, libraries and archives service who can help you set up a club in partnership with the public library service.
