Hull hosts week of business activities

Young people in Hull were inspired to become more enterprising and think about a future in business during a week-long event last month.

Global Entrepreneurship Week saw the city host a range of events for children and young people of all ages, with the support of more than 50 organisations in the area.

Activities during the week included a Dragons' Den-style event, which saw young people pitch their ideas to a panel of business gurus in an attempt to secure funding.

"I hope that many of our young people will aspire to set up their own businesses in the future and improve their lives, as well as becoming innovative employers," said local councillor Christine Randall.
