Performance The percentage of looked-after children with three or more placements during the year. Years ending 31 March
Latest figures highlight the positive impact of work taking place in Coventry to improve placement stability for looked-after children.
Since 2006, the percentage of looked-after children with three or more placements in the year has dropped from 15.4 per cent to 11.5 per cent.
Coventry City Council is hoping to continue the downward trend with the help of a recent fostering campaign that led to more than 40 enquiries.
"This is great news for looked-after children in the city," Coventry's Lord Mayor, Jack Harrison, says. "We need to recruit at least 25 foster carers for local children this year and these enquiries are an excellent start."
