HOMELESSNESS: Annual event raises profile of homeless

The annual event includes a resource pack and fundraising activities.

This year it is focusing on speedier housing benefits.

The Homelessness Sunday Partnership is made up of the Catholic Housing Aid Society, Churches National Housing Coalition and the Scottish Churches Housing Agency.

Other religious and youth groups are involved in the event, including the YMCA.

Chris Litherland, YMCA's head of housing management services, said: "The YMCA is this January rolling out the first phase of Insync. The Insync programme is designed to give young people more control of how their YMCA is run."
