Homelessness: LGBT hostels could combat bullying

Out On My Own, the result of interviews with 44 LGBT 16- to 25-year-olds, recommends LGBT-only hostels in order to avoid homophobic bullying.

Mark Cull, the report's author and senior Connexions personal adviser based at Hove YMCA's youth advice centre, hopes the report will feed into a homelessness strategy being drafted by Brighton and Hove Council. "We hope it will also get onto the children and young people's plan," he said.
