Richer people losing child benefits? HIT. I know it might seem unfair that the government is planning to stop families who have one parent earning over £44,000 a year from claiming child benefits but poor people have suffered in this country for too long now. Call it revenge of the tax system, but to most it's called making the system fair.
Changes to the driving test? DISS. Having to learn the route instead of being directed by the examiner seems a bit unfair on people learning to drive. Who needs to memorise a route when we have satnavs to do it for us anyway?
More young people in the boardroom? HIT The British Youth Council's idea of having more young people sitting on the boards of organisations sounds like a good idea to me. If people are making decisions about us, we should at least get to have a say.
Simon Cowell? DISS. Is being rude on programmes like the X-Factor really a full-time job? Cowell couldn't have it any easier he gets millions of pounds to slate people on TV every week.
Golf? DISS. I can't really get into the game or events like the Ryder Cup. In fact, the game is so boring it goes beyond a DISS. Golf needs modernising to make it more interesting.
Votes at 16? HIT, HIT, HIT. People at 16 should be able to vote because politicians are making decisions about our future. At 16 we pay tax, and we are even old enough to marry or have sex with an MP, but we can't vote for them. I've been working with The Co-operative Group to campaign for a change in the voting age.
Relaxing healthy and safety rules? HIT. It's great to hear the government wants to cut the number of rules. Health and safety regulations have gone mad. Soon we won't be able to walk outside without there being legislation and a training course first.
Anne Widdecombe? DISS. Who is Anne Widdecombe? If she's on Strictly Come Dancing she needs to stay there. Making the transition from politics to dance, wow that's a leap.
