Hit or diss?: Aydan Greatrick, 16, Devon

Andy Murray? HIT. He seems like an alright kinda guy.

He has inspired lots of people to play tennis, which is great and I have a lot of respect for a British tennis player who is world-known. I don't think he is miserable, he just gets very into the game and rightly so. Well done Murray.

Miley Cyrus? HIT. She has an annoying singing voice and I've never watched her shows, but good on her for becoming such a star. I'm sure she's inspired lots of young people and I can't take that away from her.

More free school meals? DISS. If we were to offer free school meals then we would have to take money out of other things that could benefit pupils. A good meal is important but there are schemes in place for the lowest-earning families to have free school meals anyway. In Scotland, they have free meals but in the other regions of the UK it would just cost too much.

Electoral reform? HIT. Electoral reform is the way forward. We have had the first-past-the-post system since Victorian times and we are well behind the rest of Europe and other democratic countries. Proportional representation would give everyone's vote an equal value. It would also be the ideal opportunity to lower the voting age to 16. I am 16 and originally felt votes at 16 wasn't such a good idea, but then the election came and I got very annoyed that I couldn't vote.

The new Doctor Who? HIT. Matt Smith is much better than David Tennant as the Doctor. Tennant was great but I never really got into the last series. Smith is much funnier. The whole show is so much better. Can't wait for the next one.

Nuclear deterrents? HIT/DISS. I would like to think that one day the world can be nuke-free but we can never predict the future and maybe it is best for our safety to keep nuclear warheads. Surely the first step to a nuke-free world would be to disarm and show the rest of the world that we are not afraid to talk about peace.

Britain's Got Talent? HIT. It's so much fun to watch. The elderly woman from Scotland with the really powerful voice was good but it is early days so I'll be watching closely for potential winners.
