Help from ... The National Parent Partnership Network

The National Parent Partnership Network is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year.

It acts as a forum and support service for the parent partnership services that operate in local education authorities. They provide information and support to parents of children with special educational needs.

As well as producing publications, the network runs events such as its national training day, which takes place in the spring.

Daisy Russell, the network's senior development officer, also runs an e-forum that keeps people working in parent partnership services up to date with developments in government policy on special educational needs. The network's web site will shortly publish a new training pack for practitioners.
