FAME (the Framework for Multi-Agency Environments) is the result of efforts by organisations in the North East of England to devise ways of using IT to get children's services to work together.

It aims to help organisations involved in local government to adoptmulti-agency working through an internet-based system called theReadiness Assessment Toolkit. The toolkit is designed to helppartnerships figure out how to make their services more accessible,convenient, responsive and cost-effective.

As well as the online toolkit, FAME has developed a generic frameworkfor organisations to help guide their efforts to improve partnershipworking.

The project was funded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
