WREXHAM: 17 infant deaths under one week per 1,000 women in 2005 (five in England)
In Wirral, the number of infant deaths per 1,000 women rose by eight between 2004 and 2005, while in Kettering it fell by four. In Wrexham, the number of infant deaths per 1,000 women increased by four to 17 during the same period. Across England, the average number of infant deaths per 1,000 women fell by 184.
