The distance-learning course is part-time over two years and is run byhealthcare firm Clinovia and Bournemouth University's Institute ofHealthcare and Community Studies.
Jackie Groom, Clinovia's training and development co-ordinator, saidthere was often no way for healthcare support workers or assistants tohave their experiences formally accredited.
Students who complete the course will gain a certificate of education,equivalent to the first year of a degree.
