Health News: Strategic health - Sector welcomes reorganisation

The reorganisation of strategic health authorities will help to strengthen regional children's partnerships, according to regional children's health leads.

The number of authorities will be reduced from 28 to 10 from Julyfollowing a consultation that concluded last month.

Richard Ford, lead on the children's programme at the Care ServicesImprovement Partnership, said the move would encourage joint workingbetween health and education regional leads.
