Health News: Policy - Joined-up working to be ADCS priority

Embedding the concept of joint working in NHS policy will be a key priority for the new Association of Directors of Children's Services, says its health lead.

Ann Baxter, chair of the association's health, care and additional needscommittee, said the group will also seek to place the needs of childrenin care and those with complex needs at the centre of health policy.

Baxter, corporate director of children, education and social care atStockton-on-Tees Borough Council, said: "We're developing joined-upservices for those children who need them most."
