Health News: Hospices - Acorns offers more beds for children

More children with life-limiting conditions will be able to receive care from the Acorns Children's Hospice Trust once a new hospice building is completed in February.

The 5.5m project is located on the south edge of Worcestershire, five miles from the Gloucestershire boundary and close to Herefordshire, and is situated to improve support to children in all three counties.

Chief executive John Overton said the new beds would increase the number of children registered with the hospice at any one time from 400 to 600, and increase capacity for families.
