65.4 conceptions per 1,000 girls aged 15 to 17 in 2003 (42.3 in England)

- 8.5 infant deaths per 1,000 live births in 2001 (5.4 in England)

- 104.17 hospital admissions for accidents per 100,000 children aged 5 to 14 in 2001/02 (88.18 in England)

- 126.5 hospital admissions for accidents per 100,000 children aged 5 to 14 in 1997/98 (104.74 in England)

The Government has a national health inequalities target to reduce by at least 10 per cent the gap in infant mortality between manual groups and the population as a whole by 2010. Although the number of deaths in North East Lincolnshire is small, it is the third highest rate in the Yorkshire and Humber region and well above the national rate.
