In Sunderland the number of infant deaths has gone down by seven since 2004 to 29, while in Epping Forest the number has gone down by one to seven deaths. In Basingstoke & Deane the number of infant deaths has decreased by 11 from 24 to 13. Across England, infant deaths fell by 184 between 2004 and 2005.
