11 infant deaths in one week per 1,000 women in 2005 (five in England)
In Cambridge the number of infant deaths increased from eight in 2004 to 11 in 2005. The number in Macclesfield also went up by two deaths to four. In Guildford, the number of infant deaths remained the same at four. Across England infant deaths fell by 184 between 2004 and 2005.
