Reports said some nurses at the children's hospital in London had handed in their notice after reporting pay cuts of 5 an hour for extra work.
The trust faces a 1.7m deficit after treating more children than the Government had budgeted for. A number of beds have also been lost from its critical care units for children and infants.
However, a spokesman for the hospital said cuts to overtime pay had been restricted to one speciality where staff received premium rates for working overtime outside contracted overtime hours. He also claimed no patients had been turned away from the hospital but that some had been offered treatment at other hospitals.
