Since 1992, it has helped 170,000 children with mental and physical disabilities, life-limiting conditions, children who have been abused and young carers. During 2012/13, the charity provided holidays, trips and activities for 11,430 children. Of these, 2,386 went to a theme park, zoo, animal park, seaside or place of interest; 8,238 were able to experience a performing arts production; and the charity provided holidays for 295 children and their families to various UK seaside destinations. A further 511 children enjoyed a residential break at an activity centre.
How much is available?
The charity will meet the cost of holidays or day trips, the value of which can range from a £10 theatre visit to holidays at Disneyland Paris costing more than £1,250.
