Young people from Burngreave in Sheffield organised a conference last month to look at ways of tackling gun crime and violence in the area.
The conference, supported by Sheffield Futures, came in the wake of the killing of local 16-year-old Jonathan Matondo, who was shot dead in a suspected gang feud in October.
The event, Not in My Yard, was attended by the police and other agencies and intended to send the message that local young people are opposed to guns.
Zain Abdulla, senior youth worker with the Burngreave Streetworx project, said: "There were a lot of different groups of young people attending."
