GUNG HAY FAT CHOY: Pupils celebrate the Chinese New Year

Wales' education minister Jane Hutt helped a pupil from Kitchener Primary School celebrate Chinese New Year last week. The minister visited the Cardiff school to see how it was getting on with piloting the new Foundation Stage curriculum for three- to seven-year-olds. "We want all children in Wales to have the best possible start to life which is why we committed an extra 32m in the final budget settlement this month on top of the original 75m announced in November," she said.
