Guide to deal with separated parents

Social Care
Families Need Fathers (FNF) is creating a guide to help social workers deal with non-resident parents.

The organisation has traditionally helped parents who have separated, but is looking to design a website with advice for professionals.

The charity is creating a guide on working with and supporting families and children where parents do not live together.

The aim is to give social care professionals somewhere to turn for expert advice.

A spokesman for FNF said: "We want to give ideas of how to work with non-resident parents and make professionals aware of the problems the families face and that they probably haven't been approached by and engaged with welfare services before."
