Persis Brown is a social worker in the children in need team in Harrow Council's children's services department. She qualified in December 2009.
Tell us a bit about your post-registration training and learning (PRTL)
I'm on the Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW) programme so have a reduced caseload and time off for training. We're assessed to help identify our training needs. One of the main issues for me has been putting theory into practice. It's something I've talked about a lot in supervision with my manager and with my external supervisor, including discussing the extra training that might help.
