Good Idea: Pupil inclusion award for schools in Camden

1 min read Education

Provider Camden Council
Name Camden Award for Inclusion
Summary The London Borough of Camden has introduced an award for schools that demonstrate excellence in efforts to include every child and remove barriers to achievement and wellbeing.
The accolade is open to all schools including special schools, pupil referral units, academies and
free schools.

Six primary schools in Camden have thus far received the award, which recognises the importance that staff place on ensuring they meet the needs of every pupil.

The council introduced the Camden Award for Inclusion last year. It aims to encourage all schools in the borough to endeavour to include all children and remove the barriers to achievement and wellbeing.
An award is offered only to a school that can show that all staff are committed to ensuring every child is successful and feels part of the school community.
