Pontarddulais Primary School in Swansea is attempting to help its students with their transition to secondary school. Trips to the local comprehensive schools have been arranged so students can get a taste of activities such as cookery classes, orchestral days, and extracurricular clubs in drama, dance and PE. A programme to boost pupils’ reading is also available for all year 5 and 6 students to make their step to secondary school less daunting.
