In its first-ever national campaign, Girlguiding Scotland has launched a fundraising initiative to raise 5m in three years.
The Big G initiative, which stands for giving, girls and Guiding, was launched on 25 April. It will involve Guides in Scotland organising a range of activities and events.
The funds are going to be used to provide a number of causes to develop the organisation, which is looking to establish a new initiatives fund for developments across Scotland, including the setting up of an outdoor residential training facility in the Borders for around 60 girls.
This will provide sports and conservation opportunities, improve computer facilities and reduce exclusion by supporting disabled girls and those living in outlying rural regions with transport costs.
