VOLUNTARY: Scotland appeals for more Guide leaders

The organisation has launched a web site to promote the organisation and make it more contemporary. More than 70,000 girls are already Guides, Brownies and Rainbows.

Carrie Blake, corporate affairs manager at Girlguiding Scotland, said: "We need more people willing to volunteer their time as leaders across the organisation, not just in Scotland.

"Anyone from mums to solicitors can apply and they will get full training and help. A lot of people don't realise the fun opportunities Guiding can bring."
