Funding Watch: Lawrence Atwell's Charity

1 min read

What is it? Lawrence Atwell's Charity provides grants to help disadvantaged young people invest in their talents and aspirations, putting them on the right path to getting the job they want.

How much is on offer? All grants are tailored to the individual so no specific amounts are noted. Applications are currently being accepted for 2010/11. It will not fund higher education courses where government funding is available.

What will it fund? Grants are available for undergraduate-level vocational training, work qualifications such as NVQ and BTEC, and the costs of finding a job. The charity prioritises applications from young people who face additional barriers in life. This can include those with few or no qualifications, those with a disability, lone parents, those who have limited or no family support, care leavers and young offenders.
