Funding Watch: J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust

1 min read

What is it? The J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust supports projects that relieve poverty and help disadvantaged people. It awarded grants of £3.1m in 2008 and has provided nearly £38m to more than 3,000 charities since its inception.

How much is on offer? Grants of between £10,000 and £250,000 are available, which may take between three to six months to be awarded. Funds of up to £5,000 are also available for smaller charities. The trust will be wound down over the next five to 10 years, so it will be looking to award a number of more substantial grants to well-managed projects that will have a long lasting impact.
