Football club gives sex health lessons

Youth Work
Young footballers in Nottinghamshire took part in a series of sexual health and substance misuse workshops as part of Men's Health Week last month.

Nottinghamshire County Teenage Pregnancy Partnership trained coaches from Nottingham Forest Football Club to deliver workshops alongside their regular football sessions as part of the Goals project.

Wayne Stevenson, the partnership's development officer for young men's sexual health, said: "Research has shown that boys and young men often take less of an interest in their health than young women partly because they see asking for help as a sign of weakness."
