
Two months ago, the Home Office launched a £3m ad campaign to persuade young people to stop carrying knives. It was hoped that its gruesome images of knife wounds would shock young people enough to make them think twice about carrying a knife.
"People have got to get the message that if they carry a knife, there's more chance of it being used against them," said Home Office minister Vernon Coaker.
To find out how young people across the UK were responding to these ads, CYP Now has worked with the British Market Research Bureau (BMRB) to compile a survey. More than 500 young people aged 11 to 19 responded.
