The hard-hitting programme, a joint Youth Justice Board and Home Office initiative, has been rolled out across all Tackling Knives and Serious Youth Violence Action Programme (TKAP) areas.
Targeted solely at young people aged between 10 and 17, the Knife Crime Prevention Programme consists of eight modules including attitudes towards carrying a knife, the legal implications of buying knives and the impact of knife wounds featuring images, and talks from victims or their family.
Those on the programme are also provided with support such on leaving gangs and given advice on managing anger.
Home Office minister David Hanson MP said: "This course brings young people face to face with the consequences of knife crime whatever the reason they carried the knife in the first place.
