FAITH-BASED YOUTH WORK: Church of England to audit its youth work

Questionnaires will be sent out through the church's youth officer network at the end of the month to find out information, such as the kind of youth work being carried out and the number of youth professionals at each venue.

Peter Ball, youth policy officer at the Church of England, said: "We hope to have a report that we can use to inform the next stage of the strategy."

The church's 2002 youth strategy comprised four strands: young people and worship; young people as leaders; resourcing youth workers; and young people and mission.
