Faith-based work: Anglican workers to have framework

The framework, Equipping, has been developed by the Church's youth work unit. It will provide a series of core competencies for volunteers to develop and they will be encouraged to work towards two levels of certification: a Bishop's Certificate and an Archbishop's Certificate, equivalent to NVQ levels one and two.

Yvonne Criddle, national youth officer at the Church of England, said: "The framework aims to enable youth workers to move young people from dependence to independence, and to reflect on their faith in relation to young people."
