The NCH Morden Mount Community and Family Service brings together publicand voluntary sector services from the London boroughs of Lewisham andGreenwich to support families whose children attend Morden Mount PrimarySchool.
The school is based in Greenwich but teaches children from four deprivedestates, two of which are in Lewisham. The service brings together 20different organisations and will be based in a dedicated building, paidfor by Greenwich Council.
It will offer mental health, recreation and education services and runactivities such as childcare groups and homework clubs.
A partnership group representing the 20 agencies involved in the projecthas been formed to oversee the delivery of services.
Darren Johnson, NCH's deputy director for the London region, said thecentre provided a blueprint for extended schools work across authorityborders.
