Europe: Museums to target the disadvantaged

The organisation, which administers the Youth in Action programme in the UK, is organising a meeting in May for representatives of 10 museums in five countries to discuss ways they can work together. The British museums are the three Tate galleries in London and Liverpool, the Galleries of Justice in Nottingham, the Museum of London and the Victoria and Albert.

Youth in Action provides informal learning opportunities for young people aged 13 to 30. Juan Toledo, Connect Youth's advice and information manager, said he wanted to build relationships between museums to make it easier to develop an international dimension to their work with young people.
