A project in Enfield is helping to improve community understanding of young offenders while ensuring they make amends for their actions. Enfield Youth Offending Service (YOS) identifies reparation projects under the supervision of reparation officer Daniel Fajardo.

A recent collaboration with Enfield Sea Cadets saw young people working with the YOS to help redecorate a building. Fajardo says: "We aim to start projects that help young offenders feel valued by their community and help the community understand that they are not 'feral thugs'. They are young people who have done something wrong, which they are now working to put right."
