I'm proud of the progress I've made, completing two Entry to Employment courses, passing a Food Hygiene course, improving my education and scoring 67.5 per cent on an Adult Literacy course. I also started going to youth clubs for disabled young people where I can make friends, learn in a supportive, informal environment and support other disabled young people. I'm also a Youth MP. The clubs enabled my involvement in three projects funded by the European Union Youth in Action Programme. I enjoyed helping and learned about lives in different countries. Communicating was challenging but we succeeded.
I have realised that I learn better when support and learning is tailored to meet my individual needs and is at my pace. I continue to look after my sisters during the day but would really like to get a proper job. That's my real aim.
