The head teacher came into our class and asked if anyone would like to help out with the school menu and she chose me.

We were given menu sheets and we had to design a menu that we liked. Then we sent it off to the dietician to see if it was suitable for the school menu.

I went on the internet and found recipes that I liked there. We were told we could only have one fried thing a week, everybody likes chips so we stuck with that.

My favourite thing on the menu is the vegetable pizza.

Elizabeth is a pupil at St Peter's Primary School and has been working with Leicestershire County Council to develop a school meals menu for the county.
