Education sector fears lack of cash

Early Years Education
Close to half of education and early years workers are worried that a lack of money will jeopardise the work of children's centres and extended schools.

A survey, carried out by QA Research for CYP Now at the National Children's Centre and Extended School Show earlier this year, found 45 per cent of education and early years professionals felt services were under threat due to gaps in funding.

Despite concerns about health and charity funding, children's professionals in these sectors were less concerned. Thirty-eight per cent of health workers said their services were threatened and just 21 per cent of those working for charities felt their work was in jeopardy.
